Favorite Place on Campus : My favorite place on campus is the Admissions Reception Center, because it's where the process of becoming a Saluki all begins! The Undergraduate Admissions staff are the most helpful and friendly people on this campus, and we couldn't do what we do without them.

Favorite SIUC Experience: It's hard to choose one experience, because I have such fond memories of my time as a student at SIUC. From the Cardboard Boat Regatta, to athletic events, to its outstanding faculty and staff, SIUC offers an educational experience like no other. No matter where I go, and no matter what I do, one thing remains true-I am and always will be a Saluki!

Advice to Parents: Parental involvement is key to a student's success at SIUC, so remain involved in your student's educational experience, however allow them the freedom to develop into a responsible adult. As hard as it is, give them the space they need to start making their own decisions and taking responsibility for their actions. Don't forget to let them know that you're there to support them, however, as they pursue their degree.
