Best of SIUC: I love that everyone is so friendly. I am from a small town so when I first came down here I expected to have a hard time adjusting and meeting new people. Everyone on campus was willing to help me find what I needed or where I needed to go.

Advice to new students: Be open-minded and willing to be adventurous. The best way to adjust to life in college at SIU is to be outgoing. That is the easiest way to make new friends. Also, don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Every professor is willing to work with you so that you understand everything.
