Favorite Place on Campus: Steps outside of Pulliam
Best of SIUC: The aspect I like the best about SIUC is the laid-back, accepting attitude that I have experienced from staff and students alike during the 4 years I have been at school here. It is hard to be put in a completely different situation after a person has been comfortable in their home town their whole lives and the "southern hospitality" that SIUC offered me made the transition much easier and I am happy to say that I have grown to see the community as my own.
Advice to New Students: Get involved as soon as you can. That is the easiest way to make friends and find out what you're interested in. There's a lot to do beyond your residence hall and college is all about new experiences and finding yourself.
