Best Memory of SIU: My best memory was the very first night in Carbondale which was the Saturday before school started. Me and one of my friends were overwhelmed with all the freedom of just walking around that night near the towers trying to find our way about.
Why did you choose SIUC? I chose SIUC because it’s far enough to not be harassed by parents every weekend but at the same time it’s not too far to make the trip home ever so often. This is also one of the more diverse schools in the state and I like meeting new people.
Advice to new students: Get involved on campus. You’d be surprised of all the resources we have here on campus. Campus involvement is a great way of building your resume, having a say so on what goes on around campus and more importantly handling your time management.
